Re-inventing may not be the right term but you will understand what I mean shortly. Like many, we have been in the game for over a dozen years and have re-invented ourselves almost as many times. That may be an over dramatization but we have picked our main target of how we played the game, went overboard with that and then moved onto another aspect only to be recharged and go just as overboard again. I don’t know if this is how many of you have kept yourself enthused or it is just a byproduct of my constant struggle with ADHD.

Early on my daughters only wanted to hunt for caches with the potential for SWAG and trackables. Then I got into high terrain caches. We were living in Colorado after all. Then we got deep into building Wherigos and later EarthCaches. We also hosted events of all types and at all times of day and night. We loved each of these while they were our main focus until we moved onto something new. We have often said our favorite aspect of the game is that there are so many ways you can play its like a new game every year. Most recently we have relocated (again) and have thrown ourselves into county caching and Jasmer caching. These aren’t mutually exclusive so we can overlap them without missing any of their respective goals. As we set goals for the upcoming year we started to wonder if others cache in the same way we do.

Do you find an aspect and stick with it for a while until you find something new to focus on or do you dabble in one or all things all of the time? Just curious.
